Sometimes things can just get too complicated - I just spent an hour trying to repair a little rubber bulb on my Hayter lawnmower as it wouldn't start. Whilst looking in vain around my local garden centre for a replacement bulb - I noticed the Qualcast Panther 30 on their shelves. It was so cheap I simply had to give it a try and I'm so glad I did.
The Qualcast Panther 30 is a manual cylinder lawnmower that is actually one of the best selling lawnmowers in the UK. There's not too much to tell about it - it's fairly sturdy and quite simple to assemble from the box. The 30 refers to the 30cm diameter of the cutting blades which make it fine for an average sized garden, the length of cut can be modified by hand between 12mm and 40mm . It is extremely light and can be easily be picked up by one hand - this is definitely one of the great advantages of the Qualcast Panther - you can pick it up and starting cutting the grass in a minute or two. There are no wires, extension leads, chokes, petrol to be refilled - just pick it up and start to cut the lawn.
The Qualcast Panther 30 has a grass cutting box mounted on the back that allows you to cut up to the edge of your lawn - it's not perfect as it does miss more grass than most electric lawnmowers but it's fairly reasonable. The cut grass missed can be gathered by a rake or left to mulch on the lawn. The cutting finish is surprisingly good due to the cylinder that helps the finish - the Qualcast Panther has a lot of advantages.
Of course you are not using electrical or petrol power to mow your lawn - the energy required is supplied by you - the Qualcast Panther 30 though is so light its not difficult and on a normal sized garden is little more than a gentle workout. Of course it's a great way to fit a normal task into an exercise routine or just to burn off a few calories.
The Qualcast Panther has one more main advantage - it's about the most environmentally friendly way to cut your lawn with zero emissions and only positive benefits.
